For upon |Today I will be arguing about whether the PJ movies are good and go along with the book or just straight out suck. In 2005 Rick Riordan published a book called Percy Jackson and the Olympians– the lightning thief. All the way until 2009 4 more books were added to that series. One year later Rick thought that it would be a good idea to make the Percy Jackson series movies.
He probably thought that it could be as successful as Harry Potter. So 20th-century fox stepped in and offered to make the movies. By the end of 2013, two movies have been made, the lightning thief and the sea of monsters. It was a so, so successful movie. People that have never read the books or that are in the fandom loved the movies. When people of fandom (ex. me ) watched the movie we were horrified.Percy Jackson Movies
One thing people of the fandoms agree about is that when a movie is made based on a book, the movies always get almost everything wrong.
A lot of things were wrong and I will attempt to name them all. 1.) The way that Percy retrieved his mother in the movie was that they left Grover in the underworld and took Percy´s mom instead, but in the book, they leave Percy´s mom behind, and then at the end of the book, Hades sends Sally back to the overworld. 2.).
The battle with Luke is so different, in the movie Sally is there( I think, I haven´t watched the movie in a long time because it is a disgrace) and it´s on the empire state building; in the book, there isn’t a battle with Luke, Luke just sends the scorpion and it stings Percy, he recovers and it´s the end of the story. No battle! 3.) the actor looks a little bit like the characters, I say that they should look 90% like the characters. Percy Jackson Movies
Another thing that shows that the movies suck is that THE AUTHOR OF THE BOOKS SAID THAT NO ONE SHOULD HAVE to WATCH THE MOVIE. On Twitter, someone posted ¨watching Percy Jackson: a sea of monsters w/ my class today. Now I see why @camphalfblood can´t stand the adaptations of his books #NotTheSame¨. Later Rick found this tweet and posted ” No. Please. Stop. No class deserves such a punishment. I mourn the loss of perfectly good classroom time.” Along with this picture, it shows that people and the author hate the movies.

There were two pieces of proof that Rick hates the movies ( are they making third movies? I hope not) Another thing that´s crappy about the movies is that they have horrible graphics and animations, the water and the demons just look so unreal. But no judgment there back then the special effects weren’t as good as they are today. (some judgment there ).
A question I have for Rick Riordan is why did you allow 20th-century fox make a movie, and how did it come out so bad if it is 20th-century fox. To finish everything up the movie sucks, trust the books not the movies, and if you were going to ask me did you enjoy the Percy Jackson movies I say no, you say no, everyone says no. ok, one is THANK YOU because these Percy Jackson moves to suck so bad that I just hate it and when I watched the lightning thief (the only one I watched) I hated it instantly. like in the lightning thief hades did not come out of the fire and it was just all-out horrible and this post was amazing

Thank you, Shoe! I literally just looked at pictures of the characters and decided to not waste my precious life watching those disgraceful movies. They were a disgrace to humanity!
