In this article, we will be going through five pairs of actors and actresses who have started a relationship thanks to being on the same movie set, and see if they are still with each other today.

Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, Swing Swift (1983)
After various previous relationships in which they had children, Hawn and Russell met each other on the set of Swing Shift and began a relationship that is still going strong today, after 35 years together.
They had previously met on a few different films, but at that time they were much too young for each other to start a blossoming relationship. But, in 1983, when auditioning for Swing Shift, Russell would become blown away by Hawn’s personality and looks, and attempt to use a pickup line on her, even whilst hungover. Stars.
Luckily, this pick-up line worked, as they soon began dating. However, they have never gotten married, and Hawn once said that they would have ‘long been divorced’ if they had.
Three years into their relationship, they grew their family with a new addition, Wyatt Russell, and their love for each other also grew. They became stepparents to each other’s kids from their previous relationships, and three of the children also ended up becoming actors in their rights. Stars.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Mr. and Mrs. Smith (2004)
Possibly one of the most famous modern-day on-set romances, Pitt and Jolie met on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2004. It was also one of the most controversial, as Pitt was still married to Jennifer Aniston at the time the on-set relationship was going on. Stars.
But, once Pitt and Aniston’s divorce was finalized in 2005, they made their relationship public, with Pitt even adopting Jolie’s children that same year. After 10 years together, in 2014, they married in a lavish ceremony away from the eyes of the paparazzi. Stars.
This relationship was not meant to last, however, with the pair splitting in 2016, just two years after their wedding day. During their relationship, the pair adopted many more children together and also had biological children together, the custody of which is still under legal scrutiny. Stars.
-
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, Daredevil (2003)
Meeting again on the set of Daredevil in 2003, Affleck and Garner became friends but did not start dating until 2004, when Affleck divorced Jennifer Lopez. They had previously met on the set of Pearl Harbor in 2000, but a relationship did not blossom at that time. They married in 2005 and created three children together during that time. Stars.
As with all Hollywood relationships, however, this one did not last, and after ten years of marriage, the pair divorced. The divorce was due in part to cheating allegations against Affleck, as well as his alcohol addiction, and they finalized their divorce in late 2018. Stars.
-
Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Geller, I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997)
Another relationship that has stood the test of time is the one that holds Prinze Jr and Geller together. After meeting on the set of I Know What You Did Last Summer in 1997, the pair began a strong relationship in 2000, which led them to marriage in 2002, after two years of dating.
They are still together today, with 16 years of marriage under their belts, and two children together. Many wonder what the secrets are to their long relationship, and Geller has revealed that making sure that time is spent together every day, even just a cup of coffee together in the morning, is why they have lasted so long together. Elizabeth Taylor and the Horse ‘The Pie’, National Velvet (1944)
Falling in love on set doesn’t have to be between two human actors, it can also be between an actress and her horse. Elizabeth Taylor, whilst filming National Velvet, fell in love with the horse that played ‘The Pie’ racehorse in the film which is centered around the Grand National race. Stars.
It’s no wonder when she spent most of the days filming with that horse and became attached to it. At the end of the shooting, Taylor was given the horse as a gift, which she then put into stables and rode whenever she could.
She was once quoted about her relationship with the horse, saying, ‘’He was given to me on the last day of shooting and it is a memory that I cherish. There never was a sweeter, more noble animal, and caring for him was a great source of responsibility and happiness. Stars.
“We trusted each other. We loved each other. He lived at stables in Pacific Palisades, California, and I rode and visited him whenever I could. Every little girl deserves the kind of miracle experience that I enjoyed while doing National Velvet and bonding with that magnificent soul. My heart still swells whenever I think of him, and I still do — often.” Stars.
It seems that everyone is falling in love on set these days, with everyone making films as an excuse to get together with their fellow actors and actresses. I hope this article has been informative to you on how famous couples got together, and what films began their relationships. Stars.
Maybe we’ll see more relationships begin on film sets in 2019, and I can’t wait to see who does.
