Refugee-Wow what an amazing book I’m sad it was over but now I can read my own Alan Gratz books. All of these characters were had good stories in their own way. Josef’s story started super intense unlike the others, so I thought it was going to be my favorite. The author did an amazing job with the book.
For upon |It was cool that Josef’s story and Mahmoud’s story came together. I could infer that would happen because Mahmoud’s family was going to Germany and that Josef’s story started there, so that led me to that thought. Isabel almost did not make it but Lito saved them he jumped of so the Coast Guard would stop. They got out and pulled and made to shore. Mahmoud made it to Germany by walking out of the prison-like actually walking out and everyone was so nice when they made it.
