Spring Break 2024 Underway At USA & Florida Beaches
Spring Break 2017 Underway At USA & Florida Beaches
For upon |There are two types of March Madness in the USA, one is the NCAA men’s basketball tournament and the other is Spring Break.
The former is now underway, taking place at a succession of beaches throughout warm and sunny locations, mostly in these top Florida Spring Break destinations.
Spring break runs from the last weekend in February into April, with the prime time being mid-March. Most of the schools are out the same week, March 11-19. That’s when some of the country’s top party schools are out on break: Alabama, Florida State Texas, SMU, Mississippi, Purdue, Iowa, North Carolina, Southern California, and Clemson.
This comes on the heels of many other fun-loving students from the schools who have left their footprints in the sand: Florida, Ball State (hey, it’s true!), Arizona State, Penn State, and Michigan State.

College Students
Spring Break is, of course, one of the top party times of the year for college students. Well, away from campus, anyway. It’s when the winter coats are shed in favor of bikinis and board shorts when drinking is not hindered by bothersome things like classes and finals.
The preferred places to do this are on beaches and it’s become big business. Companies put together massive parties at bars or even on the beaches themselves, charging for their services to provide accommodations, alcohol, entertainment, and the scene that fuels the Spring Break lifestyle.
The cities, too, benefit from the influx of business, although this year, Panama City Beach is, for the first time, banning alcohol on the beach and taking other measures to combat recent problems that have happened because a few people cannot either handle their alcohol or just like to cause trouble.
But for everyone else, Spring Break is a fun time and a necessary release for American college students.
