Luke Bryan under fire from PETA for gifting his wife two baby kangaroos

Luke Bryan assumed he was being a nice husband by gifting his wife two little one kangaroos for Christmas, however it appears he’s only succeeded in upsetting animal rights organization, PETA.

The team issued a press release more than the weekend wherein its Vice president, Colleen O’Brien, called for Bryan to bring the animals into a specialized place that could take care of their distinctive needs.

“Baby kangaroos belong within their mothers’ pouches, not in reward baggage. These joeys have sophisticated demands, which includes specialised weight loss plans and place to roam – they are really not toys and may only become extra complicated to take care of as they increase older,” the assertion reads. “PETA is calling for an investigation into wherever these kangaroos came from and stands able to help Luke Bryan right this wrong and move these susceptible marsupials to the respected sanctuary.”

Bryan shared the moment he gave his spouse the 2 animals in a big Christmas accumulating together with his family on Instagram. Although PETA seems to acquire difficulty with Bryan’s capability to effectively care for the kangaroos, during the video’s caption for the expose he notes that they’re an addition to his family’s recently-founded animal rescue barn.

Bryan’s niece, Sadie Brett, died in early 2017. Since then, the country singer has remade a barn on his property as a haven for rescue animals in her identify. Throughout the year he posted photographs and videos of goats, mini horses and a lot more sharing the area. According to Billboard, Brett’s Barn project coordinates with neighborhood charities to bring young children out to communicate with the rescue animals and take care of them. It seems his plan will be to include the newborn joeys to the combine.
