The compact airplane carrying 10 American visitors and two community crew members crashed and burst into flames in a very wooded area in in Guanacaste, northwest Costa Rica, the government described Sunday.
Five from the victims were being identified as People Bruce, Irene, Matthew, William and Zachary Steinberg, Diario Las Americas described.
Other victims had been discovered by Costa Rica Hoy as Thibault Astruc, Amanda Geissler, Charles Palmer, Leslie Weiss, Sherry Wuu and pilots Emma Ramos and Juan Manuel Retana.
The Central American nation’s Community Safety Ministry posted photographs and movie on the crash web page showing burning wreckage. All of that was remaining with the aircraft was a charred, smoldering mass of fiery debris.
The airplane had taken off from a community runway and was heading for the Juan Santamaria International Airport.
The Costa Rica Star described which the Mother nature Air plane had problems shortly following takeoff, crashed from the mountains and straight away caught fire, in accordance to witnesses.
Rescue groups could not arrive in the scene promptly because it was inside of a distant area. Officers while in the area confirmed that nobody survived the crash.
Retana, just one with the pilots, was a cousin of Costa Rica’s previous President Laura Chinchilla, Diario Las Americas added.
