Group looking for Christmas tree finds assaulted woman

REDDING – Police in Northern California say people trying to find a Christmas tree observed a partially clothed female who were kidnapped and abandoned in a rural area.

Redding Law enforcement Capt. Eric Wallace says the team observed the 25-year-old girl inside a wooded area of Shasta County on Monday. He says the girl sought shelter inside of a burned-out tree, drank h2o from the mud puddle and was exposed to really chilly temperatures, rain and snow.

The girl advised law enforcement she was kidnapped each day before by two acquaintances who thought she experienced stolen medication.

Wallace claims the woman also explained to investigators she was crushed plus the pair forced her to undress and still left her with merely a pair of shorts.

Police arrested 44-year-old Fred Sanderson and therefore are attempting to find Johanna Knighten.
