Menlo Park: Man arrested after wife reports child-porn discovery

MENLO PARK – A man was arrested Monday on suspicion of accumulating 1000’s of child-porn photos right after his wife reportedly learned some of the illicit substance at their property in September, according for the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Workplace.

Matthew Coda, forty seven, of Menlo Park, was arrested Monday night as he got off a flight at San Francisco Global Airport, Detective Salvador Zuno explained. He was booked in to the Maguire Correctional Facility over a felony depend of possessing about 600 images of kid or youth pornography, and it is being held on $200,000 bail.

Coda initial elicited suspicion when his wife identified illustrations or photos depicting boy or girl pornography on his dwelling laptop in September, Zuno said. She contacted the Sheriff’s Business, who immediately started an investigation.

Detectives used the earlier two months meticulously constructing a circumstance that culminated with detectives acquiring a warrant and arresting Coda as he returned from a Thanksgiving vacation on Monday.

“Cases like this are certainly sensitive, and we have to be complete,” Zuno explained.

He additional that there’s nothing to advise that Coda produced any in the photos he’s accused of possessing. Coda and his wife do not have any small children.

“At this stage it’s only possession,” Zuno reported. “There is almost nothing today that means or else.”

Zuno lauded Coda’s wife for coming forward with what she found.

“All credit rating goes to her for him being arrested. She experienced the courage to call us, when a lot of spouses could look one other way and secure their partner,” he stated. “She just could not do that.”
