San Jose police make arrests in Eastridge Mall robbery, shooting

SAN JOSE – Police on Wednesday introduced the arrests of 4 gentlemen linked to an armed theft and shooting that occurred last spring in broad daylight at Eastridge Mall.

Police on Wednesday identified the suspects as Christopher French, 20, Jaleen Fleming, 19, Jeremy Lemelle, thirty and Devin Morris, 18, all of San Jose.

The shooting and theft happened on April 25 at about three:forty p.m. Over the day on the shooting, police responded to your shopping mall and found French hiding inside of a close-by store, in accordance to police. He was arrested at the scene. Three other suspects fled the scene.

The man who was shot survived his injuries, police reported.

Over the subsequent quite a few months, detectives identified one other suspects. On Aug. seventeen, Fleming was arrested at his home in San Jose. That very same working day, Lemelle was arrested at a hotel in Milpitas.

On September 8, Morris was arrested at his home in San Jose.

French and Lemelle ended up booked into Santa Clara County jail on suspicion of robbery and assault with a firearm, according to police. Fleming and Morris have been booked into jail on suspicion of robbery.
