Driver dead after rollover crash in Walnut Creek

WALNUT CREEK — A rollover crash that seems to have been caused by speeding killed one individual and harmed another Tuesday night, police said.

Safeguard work force found the driver of a Ford caught soon after 9:20 p.m., when they touched base at Treat Boulevard close Sheppard Road, police said. Witnesses told police that the vehicle was speeding while at the same time going west on Treat Boulevard, lost control and moved into approaching activity.

Physical proof at the scene verified witness accounts, police said.

The vehicle driver passed on at the scene. Police did not recognize the dead individual, pending notice of family.

The driver of a Toyota SUV that was associated with the crash was outside the auto when doctors arrived, police said. That driver endured direct wounds, police said.

A dissection by the Contra Costa County Coroner’s Office will decide if medications or liquor assumed a part in the crash.
